Ride 4 Research 2022 (R4R) riders have completed the last leg of the ride on Saturday 18 June 2022.

12 riders lead by R4R organiser Peter Reaburn set out from Canberra on 30 April to cycle 900km in 9 days, however the ride was cut short by two days as there was a COVID outbreak among the riders and support crew.
Each of the riders completed the final distance in their own State joined by family and friends
Victoria – Neve Australia’s youngest diagnosed with ovarian cancer at 11 months old presenting the R4R cheque to Dr Simon Chu with fellow R4R riders Mara Ferraro, Hannah Watson & Gemma Foord Neve & Dr Simon Chu R4R2022 Queensland – Event organiser Peter Reaburn with fellow riders Peter Smith & Sheree Osbourne Peter with his wife Claire and daughters Rebecca and Megan New South Wales – Rider Stephen Mitchell supported by his daughter Katelyn diagnosed with GCT at 19 year old ROC Inc CEO Tasha Armour with her daughter Mikayla diagnosed with jGCT at 16 years old and the support of family and friends.

The money raised for our research partners at the Centre for Endocrinology & Metabolism at the Hudson Institute for Medical Research for vital research for Granulosa Cell Tumour (GCT), a rare ovarian cancer.
Ovarian cancer if often considered an older women’s disease, however Juvenile Granulosa Cell Tumour (jGCT) can affect females of any age. The youngest in Australia in our research was diagnosed at 11 months old with a softball size tumour.
