SISTAS ROC

Where every pedal stroke truly counts in making a difference in other's lives. As a women's riding community we will raise awareness & much needed lifesaving research for Rare Ovarian Cancer. Of course Misters are also welcome to register & support the bunch!

Ride For Research 2026 (R4R26) is a series of self supported rides that start & finish at Budd Park, located on the Banks of the Tweed River. Ride your own way with a choice of courses:

- Rail Trail | Social: 48km/260m; suitable for beginner riders, e-bikes welcome! Exploring the Northern Rivers Rail Trail (NRRT) this scenic course features a blend of sealed & compacted gravel offering an inclusive experience for all riders. Self supported control at Mooball. Gravel tyres recommended.

- Road | Tyalgum: 50km/625m; suitable for intermediate & advanced road riders. Crystal Creek, through Chillingham to the character village of Tyalgum & back via Rocky Cutting. Picturesque scenery through the canefields, rolling country hills & rain forrest with views of Wollumbin dominating the horizon. Self supported control at Tyalgum.

- Road | GC Big Loop: 110km/1,919m; suitable for advanced road riders. A challenging & rewarding course tackling Tomewin, Springbrook, Pine Creek Rd & Numinbah. Spectacular scenery that will be well worth the pedaling effort! Support will be provided by volunteers at the Mudgeerabah 40km & Numinbah Valley 70km controls.

About Rare Ovarian Cancer Incorporated (ROC inc):
ROC Inc. is a registered Australian Charity established in 2018. Partnering with Monash University's Hudson Institute of Medical Research, ground breaking research continues under the guidance of Associate Professor Simon Chu. The goal is to find a cure for this disease that effects girls & women of all ages.

About Ride For Research:
R4R22 & R4R24 lead by Peter Reaburn has generated over $400,000 for Rare Ovarian Cancer Research. Riders of this innaugural Audax event are fund raising for R4R26 with the goal of raising over $100,000 in 2026. The R4R target at the end of 2026 is to have raised more than $500,000 over a series of events to help find a cure for Rare Ovarian Cancer.
