Imagine riding the Great Queensland Rail Trail Adventure (GQRTA) from Gladstone to Brisbane over 5 days whilst raising much needed funds for Rare Ovarian Cancer Research? An epic 689km multi-terrain cycling odyssey connecting 3 historic Queensland Rail Trails (BBIRT, KKRT & BVRT) including Australia’s longest awaits!

Discover off-road adventure trails & back roads (58% unpaved, 4332m) loaded with spectacular scenery, quintessential Queensland rural communities & heritage-listed sites. This Audax RAID is intended to be ridden self supported over 5 days with a maximum of 7 days available. July 26 Controls:

Day 1 Tue 7 - BBIRT Trailhead Taragoola-Monto 128km/+690m/-518m/34% unpaved

Day 2 Wed 8 - Gayndah 270km (142km day/+477m/-604m/46% unpaved)

Day 3 Thu 9 - Goomeri 413km (143km day/+1,414m/-1,279m/55% unpaved)

Day 4 Fri 10 - Linville 570km (157km day/1,314m/-1,425m/62% unpaved)

Day 5 Sat 11 - BVRT Trailhead Wulkuraka 689km (119km day/+775m/-885m/90% unpaved)

A key focus of this inaugural Audax GQRTA RAID is to raise much needed life saving research funds & awareness for Rare Ovarian Cancer. Ride Organiser Jason Stinson can be contacted with regards fund raising efforts & sponsorship opportunities.

About Rare Ovarian Cancer Incorporated (ROC inc):
ROC Inc. is a registered Australian Charity established in 2018. Partnering with Monash University's Hudson Institute of Medical Research, ground breaking research continues under the guidance of Associate Professor Simon Chu. The goal is to find a cure for this disease that effects girls & women of all ages.

About Ride For Research:
R4R22 & R4R24 lead by Peter Reaburn has generated over $400,000 for Rare Ovarian Cancer Research. Riders of this innaugural Audax event are fund raising for R4R26 with the goal of raising over $100,000 in 2026. The R4R target at the end of 2026 is to have raised more than $500,000 over a series of events to help find a cure for Rare Ovarian Cancer.
