Rohan Smith Rider Profile – Ride for Research 2024

Meet Rohan Smith, a father of twins (Liam and Jacqueline) and fiancé to Jennifer Hall. Rohan is an adventure seeker. He will try his hand at anything that comes along. He loves to spend his days outdoors.

Rohan moved from Melbourne to Rockhampton in 1998 to take over a Newsagency with his brother and sister-in-law. He lived there until 2018.  Rohan and Jennifer moved to the lovely town of Tweed Heads where they opened a café in 2018/19. Most days you will find Rohan at the cafe. He lives in the lovely town of Tweed Heads which for you who haven’t been there is right on the border of Queensland and New South Wales.

Rohan takes joy in participating in activities such as swimming, running, Ironman triathlon Events. His passion is cycling on the road or gravel. He has just completed an event named the Dirty Warny –  a 252km gravel cycling event in the state of Victoria.

Rohan was touched by cancer in 2002 when Dawn his then wife of 17 years was diagnosed with cancer. Dawn passed in 2004 leaving him with twins aged 6 years of age. Through the two years of Dawn’s cancer treatment Rohan learned many lessons and understandings of the affect cancer has on peoples’ lives. That is one of the reasons he was keen to participate with this fundraising ride in Bright. He would like to help where possible and would like to bring others along this journey to raise funds to assist with medical research costs.
