ROC Inc Ride 4 Research 2022 – Rider Profile Peter Smith Peter Reaburn and I first met in 1977 on the beach at Coolangatta, while competing in the Queensland Surf Life Saving Titles. We discovered that we were studying Human Movement Studies together at University of Queensland and have been friends ever since. We played rugby and touch football together, surfed together, and went to each other’s weddings. After Uni, I became an Air Traffic Controller, working in Mt. Unfortunately, this was the confronting reality Neve and her parents Jo and Zoe found themselves in on August 1, 2014. Four years ago today marked the start of Rare Ovarian Cancer Incorporated (ROC Inc) a journey to create a greater public awareness and research for Rare Ovarian Cancer. With no screening test for ovarian cancer, the symptoms are often vague and easy to dismiss. Our goal is to create a greater public awareness for ovarian cancer and its symptoms.
