Together, we’re driving hope for females with rare ovarian cancer.
ROC Inc Donates $205,000 to Hudson Institute for Rare Ovarian Cancer Research
Another major milestone in our ongoing support.
Rare Ovarian Cancer Incorporated (ROC Inc) is proud to announce a new donation of $205,000 to the Hudson Institute of Medical Research, supporting vital research into ovarian granulosa cell tumours (GCT) — both adult and juvenile.
This latest contribution marks another major milestone in our ongoing support, demonstrating the dedication of our community and our commitment to driving research forward for rare ovarian cancers. Together, these funds reflect the strength of our community and our long-term commitment to advancing research and bringing hope to females and families impacted by rare ovarian cancers.

A Partnership Powering Discovery
Associate Professor Simon Chu, who leads Hudson’s granulosa cell tumour research program, shared:
“We’re incredibly grateful to ROC Inc and their amazing community for this extraordinary support. These funds will directly accelerate our research into understanding the biology of granulosa cell tumours — rare ovarian cancers that often return many years after diagnosis. With ROC Inc’s help, we can push forward new ways to diagnose and treat these tumours, giving women more hope for the future.”

Honouring Passionate Research
As part of this partnership, Trang Nguyen has been named the ROC Inc Senior Research Assistant. Trang reflected:
“I’m honoured to take on this role. This support allows us to explore new therapeutic targets and better understand what drives these tumours at a molecular level. It’s a privilege to do this work knowing that it’s backed by such passionate people.”

ROC Inc’s Mission
Founder Tasha Armour explained:
“Our mission at ROC Inc is to make sure no female feels alone facing a rare ovarian cancer. Through events like Ride 4 Research and many other community‑led initiatives, we’ve raised this remarkable total. Every effort reflects the love, belief, and determination of our supporters. Together, we can make a real difference.”

Looking Ahead
This partnership between Hudson Institute and ROC Inc demonstrates what’s possible when researchers and communities unite. The funds raised through ROC Inc’s initiatives — including Ride 4 Research and many other community‑led efforts — will accelerate discovery, fuel innovation, and bring hope to females and families impacted by rare ovarian cancers.

We extend heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed — your generosity truly powers discovery.
