Rare Ovarian Cancer Inc’s (ROC Inc) beautiful Ovarian cancer Awareness Wings made the flight down to the @Hudson Institute of Medical Research in Melbourne recently. Each feather features some of the more common symptoms of ovarian cancer to increase awareness. Over 75% of women are diagnosed with advanced stage cancer, where it has spread, making it difficult to treat. The children from Warilla Baptist Preschool painted rocks to take home and place out into the community to be found, to create awareness for ovarian cancer and it’s symptoms and raise money for vital research. Each child painted and created their own beautiful and unique rock that had an awareness message label on the back about the Facebook group Rock for Roc group.   Don’t Let Go of Your Dreams Mixed media piece by Maggie Henderson. This is a very special story about how this piece came to be. What they didn’t know was why i cried when it was shown to me. A young girl called Paula lost her battle with JGCT at 12yo at the beginning of this year, she was to be a part of the research but everything changed so quick and sadly she passed away before the research was to start.
